How Do Magnetic lashes work
So you might be wondering now how do magnetic lashes work?
Both our eyeliner and lashes are magnetic. The lashes have tiny magnets along the line of the lash strip which attach onto the eyeliner. All you have to do is apply our magnetic eyeliner, wait 1 minute for it to dry, and then snap on your lashes.
There’s no exaggeration here- it's that easy!
The lashes will stay on all day whether you're working out, outside all day in the hot sun, or if it's windy.
Just make sure to never go swimming with them on or to clean them with makeup remover that contains oil. Doing either of these two things will ruin the lashes, and you won't be able to get the full 30 uses out of them.
Other than that, they'll work great anywhere!
Here are the basics you need to know about our magnetic eyelashes:
#1: Take care of your liquid magnetic liner
Always make sure to shake your magnetic liner before you apply it so that the formula can blend together properly. When you open your liner, wiggle the tip back and forth to loosen up the bristles. If you don't do this, you'll notice that the tip of the liner will be too stiff.
Apply the magnetic liner the way you would with any other kind of liner. Make sure that you put on an even coat anywhere that you are going to apply the lashes so that it will stick on and stay all day.
#2: Always perform the "dry test" before applying lashes
Anytime you apply your liner, you MUST let it dry before putting on your magnetic lashes. If you don't let your liner dry before applying your lashes, it will ruin them.
The best way to tell if your magnetic eyeliner is dry or not is by performing the "dry test." You can do this by waiting for the liner to dry for 1 minute after you apply it.
Once you've waited, tap your liner with your ring finger. If any residue comes off, then it's not dry and you need to wait another minute or so.
If no residue comes off, then you're all set to snap on your lashes and go on with your day!
#3: Keep your magnetic lashes away from water
You may have heard that our magnetic liner is waterproof. That’s correct. However, that's not the case with our magnetic lashes.
Avoid getting into the water with them on, and try to use an umbrella if you're out in the rain. Getting them wet will ruin them.
If you do decide to go swimming, make sure to take them off and put them safely in the box that they came in. We recommend taking the box with you when you go out just to be safe!
#4: Take proper care of your lashes
If you take proper care of your lashes, they will last up to 30 uses. Practice the “dry test” every time you apply your lashes so that you don’t get wet eyeliner on them. Always clean them properly, and put them back in the box they came in when you're not using them.
#5: Keep makeup remover that contains oil away from your lashes because the oil will cause the magnetic properties to fall apart which will ruin the magnetic lashes.
If you're going to clean your lashes, use an oil-free makeup remover like our botanical makeup remover.
Are Magnetic Lashes Safe?
At Adoniaa Beauty, we understand your concern for the safety of your eyes and we take that very seriously.
Our eyeliner contains a magnetic powder made from iron oxide which rates a 2 for safety according to the EWG. Iron oxide typically doesn't cause problems, even for people with sensitive skin. There are no heavy metals in our formula, and there are no side effects when using our eyeliner.
In fact, 10% of people that have used lash glue report that they are allergic to it, and only 1% of people that have tried magnetic liners report that they're allergic. That's right. Adoniaa Beauty Magnetic Lashes are safer to use than false lashes that stick on with glue.
Our lashes are also safe to use if you wear contacts or glasses. If you have eye problems or have recently had surgery, please consult with your doctor to see if Adoniaa Beauty Magnetic Lashes are okay for you to use.
How To remove magnetic lashes and liner:
Step #1: Remove your magnetic lashes
Gently remove the magnetic lashes by holding them from the outside corners and pulling them very slowly away from the eye until you hit the inner corner. This is a VERY important step. You MUST remove the eyelashes first.
Step #2: Clean your magnetic lashes
If you see any makeup build-up on your magnetic lashes, clean them with makeup remover that doesn't contain oil, we recommend our Botanical Eye Makeup Remover
Step #3: Put away your lashes
Put your magnetic lashes back into the box that they came in.
Step #4: Grab your Botanical eye Makeup Remover
Put some Adoniaa botanical Makeup Eye remover on a cotton swab and place it on your liner.
Step #5: Clean off your magnetic eyeliner
We recommend you do a rolling motion with the cotton swab as you're removing your liner. The liner will come off very easily, so there's no reason to rub it off. If you do rub the liner off, it can cause irritation.
Step #6: Wash your makeup off
